- 三密
- The three mystic things: the body, mouth (i.e. voice), and mind of the Tathāgata, which are universal, all things being this mystic body, all sound this mystic voice, and all thought this mystic mind. All creatures in body, voice, and mind are only individualized parts of the Tathāgata, but illusion hides their Tathāgata nature from them. The esoterics seek to realize their Tathāgata nature by physical signs and postures, by voicing of [lang id =1028]真言 dhāraṇī and by meditations, so that [lang id =1028]入我我入 He may enter me and I Him, which is the perfection of siddhi [lang id =1028]悉地; v. [lang id =1028]大日經疏 1. [lang id =1028]菩提心論.* * *身密、 語密、 意密。 就佛界言: 大日如來, 為遍法界之身, 故法界體相, 為其身密, 一切聲音, 為其語密, 周遍之識大, 為其意密。 就眾生言: 手結印契為身密, 口誦真言為語密, 心觀本尊之法相為意密。
